FAQs

What type of blade should I use with the 16" Crosscut Power Saw and what materials can it cut?

This saw cuts wood, composite materials, and plastics. For optimal performance, use a 16″ carbide-tipped blade:

  • 16″ General Purpose Blade (40 teeth): For versatile cutting needs.
  • 16″ Fine Crosscutting Blade (60 teeth): For smooth, precise finishes.

Blades are sold separately and should match the material being cut.

How is a Crosscut Power Saw different from an Upcut Saw?

A Crosscut Power Saw pulls the blade forward through the material for precise crosscuts, with a fully enclosed cutting area for safety. An Upcut Saw pushes the blade upward for miter or angled cuts. The Crosscut Power Saw offers outstanding safety and control for straight cuts.

Can I add Pneumatic Clamping to this saw?

Yes, Pneumatic Clamping is available as an upgrade. It provides hands-free material handling, improving efficiency in high-production environments.

Is the saw compatible with Saw Extension Tables?

Saw Flat Extension Tables are highly recommended for the infeed and outfeed sides to support larger materials and enhance safety.

What safety features does the Crosscut Power Saw offer?

The saw includes:

  • A fully enclosed Lexan polycarbonate cutting area for operator protection.
  • An integrated dust collection system to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • An E-Stop and Start/Stop station for emergency safety controls.
