FAQs

What type of blade should I use with the 14" Crosscut Power Saw and what materials can it cut?

The 14″ Crosscut Power Saw easily cuts wood, composite materials, and plastics. Its industrial design and powerful motor make it ideal for cutting single pieces or stacked layers.

For optimal performance, use a 14″ carbide-tipped blade tailored to your cutting needs:

  • 14″ General Purpose Blade (40 teeth): Ideal for versatile cuts.
  • 14″ Fine Crosscutting Blade (60 teeth): Provides smoother finishes.

Blades are sold separately and should be selected based on the type of material you are cutting.

My shop only has single-phase power. Is there a saw that will work for me?

Yes, the 14″ Manual Crosscut Power Saw has a 3 HP single-phase motor compatible with single-phase power setups. This makes it accessible for shops with standard electrical configurations.

How does a Semi-Automatic Saw differ from a Manual Saw?

The Semi-Automatic model features a push-button cycle, allowing the carriage to move forward and return automatically after each cut. This reduces operator fatigue and increases efficiency compared to manual saws, where the operator must manually guide the blade through the material.

Can I add Pneumatic Clamping to this saw?

Yes, Pneumatic Clamping is an optional upgrade. While Manual Clamping is standard, Pneumatic Clamping provides a hands-free solution. Pneumatic Clamping is ideal for high-production settings or when cutting irregularly shaped materials.

Are Saw Flat Extension Tables compatible with Crosscut Power Saws?

Yes, Saw Flat Extension Tables are highly recommended for the infeed and outfeed sides to provide stability and safety when handling materials. They are critical given the saw’s enclosed cutting design.
