Description
Brake Disc for Contractor and Heavy Duty Radial Arm Saws
Built to Restore Reliable Stopping
This replacement brake disc is a core part of your saw’s braking system. During shutdown, it applies friction against the Fan and Liner Assembly to bring the motor to a controlled stop—critical for safety and cut accuracy.
Compatibility
- Original Saw Company Contractor Duty Radial Arm Saws Type 4 and newer
- Original Saw Company Heavy Duty Radial Arm Saws
- Certain 3500 Series DeWalt Radial Arm Saw motors (verify motor series before ordering)
Note: Not designed for earlier Contractor Duty Types 1–3.
Two-Sided, Reversible Design
The Brake Disc for Contractor and Heavy Duty Radial Arm Saws is double-sided. If you notice glazing, grooves, or longer stopping times, remove and flip the disc to use the fresh side. Replace the disc once the friction liner has worn through the surface or if braking time continues to increase.
When to Inspect or Replace
- Increased motor stopping time
- Visible wear, glazing, or scoring on the disc
- Friction liner contact worn through the disc
- Persistent braking issues after installing a new brake coil
