A Legacy of American Manufacturing
Original Saw Company’s story is rooted in northern Iowa and a long history of American manufacturing. Since 1990, the company has grown its product offerings and manufacturing capabilities while maintaining its commitment to producing high-quality cutting equipment in the United States.

Today, Original Saw manufactures radial arm saws, beam saws, crosscut power saws, saw measuring systems, saw extension tables, and other cutting solutions for woodworking, manufacturing, and industrial customers.
In 2020, the company expanded by acquiring Williams & Hussey Machine and Tool, bringing the longtime New Hampshire manufacturer of planer molders and profile knives to Britt, Iowa.
Together, the Original Group family of companies continues to grow while maintaining the values of quality, service, and American manufacturing that have shaped the businesses for decades.
Recognized as a Community Champion
In addition to being named one of America’s Top 100 Small Businesses, Original Group Holdings was selected as a 2026 CO-100 Community Champion.
Community involvement has long been an important part of the company’s role in Britt and the surrounding area. As a family-owned manufacturer in rural Iowa, Original Saw believes in supporting the community that has supported the company. The company invests in programs that strengthen local services, create opportunities for young people, and improve quality of life.
One initiative the company is particularly proud of is its support of student activity passes for local students. Last year, Original Saw provided activity passes for all 160 students in grades 9–12. This year, Original Saw partnered with two other local businesses to fund activity passes for all students in grades K–12, giving students access to school athletic and activity events throughout the academic year. The partnership reflects a shared commitment among local businesses to supporting students, school activities, and the broader community.

Original Saw also provides time off for employees who serve as volunteer firefighters and ambulance crew.
For owner and president Allen Eden, the connection to Britt is personal. Eden grew up in Britt, attended its schools and still works in the community daily.
Allen Eden, Owner and President of Original Group Holdings
“Being recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Small Businesses is something we’re very proud of. It affirms the hard work our entire team has put in over many years. Our employees are what make Original Saw a great place to work. Everyone pulls together to get the job done, fulfill our customers’ orders, and get equipment out the door.
“I grew up in Britt, so being able to give back to this community is especially important to me. I’m proud that we can support the same school system I grew up in and give back to our community. Britt has supported our company for many years, and it’s important to me that we support the community in return.
