Modernfold had been using an older Delta radial arm saw for many years. While it had served the company well, Maintenance Supervisor Ken Meyer knew it was time to replace the machine with equipment that offered greater reliability, improved safety, and better cutting performance.

Modernfold selected an Original Saw 14″ Heavy Duty Radial Arm Saw and configured it as a complete radial arm saw cutting station designed around the company’s production workflow.
To support material before cutting, the station was equipped with a 6-foot saw extension table and saw measuring system on the left (infeed) side of the saw. This allows operators to position and measure material accurately before making each cut.
After the cut is complete, a 16-foot saw extension table and saw measuring system on the right (outfeed) side provide continuous support for longer workpieces, helping operators safely handle material while maintaining consistent accuracy.
This layout gives Modernfold a balanced workstation that improves material handling, supports repeatable measurements, and keeps production moving efficiently.
