Durable Construction

Crafted from heavy-duty aluminum extrusions and steel components, Saw Measuring Systems are built to withstand daily industrial use.

Built to last, Saw Measuring Systems are made from heavy-duty aluminum extrusions and steel components that resist wear and tear from daily industrial use. The industrial design of the Saw Measuring System provides stability, precision, and reliability even in high-demand environments such as manufacturing plants, woodworking shops, and construction sites. This durability reduces the need for frequent replacements, providing a long-term solution for your cutting operations.

Versatile Length Options

Adaptable to your workspace, Saw Measuring Systems are available in 4′, 6′, and 8′ sections. For larger setups, these sections can be connected to create extended lengths of 12′, 16′, 24′, or even 32′. This design allows you to expand your system as needed, ensuring it grows with your requirements.

Whether you’re working on small projects or handling large production runs, this flexibility ensures the system fits seamlessly into your workflow.

Fixed and Flip Foot Stops

Choose the stop type that best suits your cutting needs:

  • The Fixed Foot Stop offers precise, repeatable positioning for consistent cuts, ideal for repetitive tasks and production settings.
  • The Flip Foot Stop provides additional flexibility, flipping up and out of the way when not in use, making it easier to load and unload materials without removing the stop. Both options ensure smooth operation, helping you maintain accuracy and efficiency.

Easy Installation

Saw Measuring Systems are engineered for quick and straightforward installation. They are designed to mount directly on the back of Saw Extension Tables, using a t-slot on the bottom of the aluminum extrusion for secure attachment.

Original Saw Company’s Roller and Flat Extension Tables come with pre-punched holes, making setup even simpler.

For other setups, minor adjustments such as drilling custom holes ensure compatibility, allowing the system to integrate seamlessly with various cutting stations.

Compatibility

While optimized for Original Saw’s Extension Tables, these measuring systems are highly versatile.

With a few adjustments, such as drilling appropriate mounting holes, they can be adapted to fit other saw tables. This flexibility makes them a valuable accessory for professionals using diverse equipment setups, ensuring precision and control across different workstations.

What Is A Saw Measuring System?

A Saw Measuring System is a tool designed to give precise, repeatable cuts when using various types of saws. The system includes an aluminum rail with a tape measure and adjustable stops, such as fixed or flip stops, that allow you to set and lock in specific cut lengths.

This setup eliminates the need to measure each piece individually, saving time and increasing productivity.

Made from durable materials, Saw Measuring Systems withstand the demands of daily use in workshops, factories, and job sites.

    • Sign companies
    • Aluminum commercial storefront manufacturers

These systems are indispensable for achieving accurate and professional results in a variety of applications.

What is the difference between a Fixed Foot and a Flip Foot?
  • Fixed Foot:
A Fixed Foot is a sliding stop that moves along the rail but does not flip out of the way. It provides a stable and secure position for consistent cuts.
  • Flip Foot:
A Flip Foot is a movable stop that flips up and down. This design allows the user to easily flip the stop out of the way when loading or unloading materials, offering added flexibility during operation.
What is a "Cut and Boxed" Saw Measuring System?

A “cut and boxed” Saw Measuring System is shipped in shorter, 4-foot sections instead of a single long rail. This option makes shipping more convenient and cost-effective by allowing the system to be sent via UPS rather than a freight truck.

  • Available Lengths: 8′, 12′, and 16′ systems are cut into 4-foot sections and packed in 4-foot boxes for easy on-site assembly.
  • How to Order: Look for part numbers ending in “-CB” to select this shipping option.

The “cut and boxed” system is a practical solution for reducing shipping costs while maintaining the same functionality and ease of installation.

How are Saw Measuring Systems Shipped?

If you purchase a Saw Measuring System at the same time as a saw, both items will be shipped together via freight truck. The lead time for saws with Saw Measuring Systems is generally 3-4 weeks.

You can also order Saw Measuring Systems without a saw. These items are in stock and typically ship out within 2-3 days after the order is placed.

Shipping Options:

  • UPS or Freight Truck:
Saw Measuring Systems can be shipped by UPS or freight truck, depending on the size and quantity of your order.
  • Cost-Effective Shipping with “Cut and Boxed” Option:
To reduce shipping costs, we offer 8′, 12′, and 16′ lengths with a “cut and boxed” (-CB) option. In this option, lengths are cut into 4′ sections and packaged in 4′ boxes, allowing them to be shipped via UPS instead of a freight truck. When ordering these lengths, look for part numbers ending with -CB.

What if I don't need a Fixed or Flip Foot Slider on the Saw Measuring System?

If you don’t require a complete measuring system with a Flip or Fixed Foot Slider, you can opt for an Fence Rail Kit instead. The rail acts as a fence, keeping the material steady on the table and aligning it squarely with the blade.

When to Use a Fence Rail Kit:

  • Use fence rails for setups where measuring is only needed on one side of the saw.
  • Pair a Saw Measuring System on the measurement side with a fence rail on the opposite side for a balanced and efficient setup.

Available Sizes:
Fence rails are available in 4′, 6′, and 8′ sections, allowing you to customize your setup to fit your specific cutting needs.

This flexible option ensures precision and control while saving you from purchasing a full measuring system if it’s not required.

Can I Install the Saw Measuring System on the Infeed or Outfeed Side?

Yes, you can install the Saw Measuring System on the infeed side, the outfeed side, or both, depending on your cutting needs. The measurement begins at the blade and extends to the end of the measuring system on the chosen side.

  • Right-Side Installation:
Select a right-side mount system (indicated by “-R” in the part number). This configuration provides a left-to-right measurement reading from the blade to the end of the system.
  • Left-Side Installation:
Choose a left-side mount system (indicated by “-L” in the part number). This setup offers a right-to-left measurement reading from the blade to the end of the system.

This flexibility allows you to configure your saw setup to best suit your workflow and cutting requirements.
