Replace the return reel when you notice a decrease in tension, uneven or sluggish movement, or if the reel no longer retracts the saw arm smoothly. These signs indicate wear and can impact the saw’s performance and safety.
Carefully inspect the components to decide whether you need the return reel or the entire kit. If only the reel shows wear, replacing it alone should be sufficient. However, if other parts of the return reel assembly, such as the mounting hardware or reel housing, are also worn or damaged, it’s best to replace the entire return reel kit.
If you need clarification on the saw model or type, it’s recommended that you order the kit with the mounting bracket for compatibility.
