FAQs

What are the safety features of a Beam Saw?

The 22.5″ Beam Saw includes multiple safety features designed to protect the operator during operation:

  • Full Upper and Lower Blade Guarding: Provides complete coverage, minimizing exposure to the cutting blade.
  • Emergency Stop (E-Stop): Shuts down the saw in an emergency to prevent potential accidents.
  • Magnetic Starter with Low Voltage Controls: Prevents accidental start-ups after a power interruption, ensuring the saw remains off until intentionally restarted.
Why does this model have a VFD?

The 22.5″ Beam Saw has a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) to enhance operational efficiency and control. The VFD provides:

  • Smooth Start-Ups: Gradually increasing speed reduces mechanical stress on the motor and blade.
  • Consistent Blade Speed: Maintains optimal cutting speed across various materials for improved accuracy.
  • Safe Braking System: Brings the blade to a safe stop within approximately 25 seconds after use.
What kind of blade is recommended for a 22.5" Beam Saw?

Beam Saws cut a variety of materials. The type of blade depends on the material being cut. Recommended options include:

For Wood:

  • 22.5″ General Purpose Blade (60-tooth) – Suitable for standard woodworking tasks.

For Metal:

  • 22.5″ Aluminum Crosscut Blade (120-tooth) – Designed for aluminum, brass, and non-ferrous metals.

Blades are sold separately and can be selected based on your specific cutting needs.
