FAQs

How do the Flip Foot Slider attach to the rail, and how does the Saw Measuring System attach to the Extension Table?

The Flip Foot Slider attaches to the rail using a machined block assembly and a steel bracket. The block assembly slides along the aluminum extrusion while the steel bracket securely holds the flip foot in place, allowing it to glide smoothly and flip out of the way as needed.

The measuring system attaches to the back of Original Saw Company’s Saw Extension Table by bolting through the t-slot on the bottom of the aluminum extrusion. The extrusion aligns with the saw’s fence for accurate measurement. Original Saw’s Roller and Flat Extension Tables include pre-punched holes, making installation quick and straightforward.

Can I use a Gang Stop Fence with the Flip Foot Saw Measuring System?

The Gang Stop Fence is incompatible with the Flip Foot Saw Measuring System. If you need to cut multiple pieces simultaneously, consider using the Fixed Foot Saw Measuring System. The Gang Stop Fence is designed to work with the Fixed Foot system, allowing you to make multiple cuts simultaneously for improved efficiency.

Should I order an extra Flip Foot Slider? Why?

Ordering extra  Sliders is an excellent idea if you frequently make multiple standard-length cuts. Additional Flip Feet allow you to set multiple stops along the rail. Multiple stops eliminate the need to adjust measurements and save time during repetitive cutting tasks.

What is the difference between the Flip Foot and Fixed Foot Saw Measuring Systems?

Fixed Foot: A sliding stop that can be slid up and down the rail but does not flip out of the way.

Flip Foot: A movable stop that flips up and down, allowing the user to flip the stop up out of the way to load and unload materials.

Can the Saw Measuring System be mounted on both the infeed and outfeed sides?

Install the Saw Measuring System on the infeed side, outfeed side, or both, depending on your cutting needs. Choose a left-side (-L) or right-side (-R) mount system for the appropriate configuration.

Are these systems compatible with non-Original Saw extension tables?

The Saw Measuring System can be adapted to other extension tables by drilling the appropriate mounting holes. This flexibility makes it compatible with various setups.
