This saw uses a VFD to provide smoother start-ups and precise blade control and is equipped with a 3-phase, 3 HP TEFC (totally enclosed fan-cooled) motor. The VFD eliminates the need for a mechanical brake, reducing maintenance needs and extending motor life. Blade speed ramps up gradually over 8 seconds, minimizing start-up amps while providing consistent performance.
